The Glenamoy Angling Club History

The Glenamoy Community Angling Association was set up in 1999. The club is mainly made up of locals with some outside officers to facilitate with experience and marketing. The club sees this rich natural resource as a major Angling Tourist Attraction and with proper management it can attract Angling tourists to the area, thus creating a major angling destination and helping to develop the local economy in many ways.

The Club in cooperation with the riparian owners along the river and Inland Fisheries Ireland sees the tripartite group as the way forward. The new wheelchair angling pool is evidence of this in action.
The wheelchair pool facilitates 2 to 3 wheelchair participants to fish at any time
